The debut album from Portland, Oregon’s Jaguar Love comes on the heels of their hotly sought-after and sold out EP released this past June. Formed from members of the Blood Brothers and Pretty Girls Make Graves, Jaguar Love add heavy-duty glam moves and crunchy, addictive hooks to the mix on the infectious Take Me To The Sea.
Those stupid Celebrex commercials, they last forever!! Stupid America and drug advertisement. If anyone chooses their prescription from an ad, they really don't deserve to choose anything else in their life. How pathetic.
So today is the last day to get Darkrai from Toys R' Us. For those of you not in the know, Darkrai is a legendary Pokemon that you can't catch normally on the newest Diamond and Pearl versions of Pokemon for the Nintendo DS. I'm gonna head out during mid-day to the event which lasts from 12 'til 4 pm. If you play Pokemon you should go check out your nearest Toys R' Us!
When listening to music, I have a lot of "Oh that's an ok song." or "That's a catchy tune, I like it." But every once in a while I get blown away and I become fascinated with a song or band which doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, it feels great. The last time that happened was when I first heard Kiss Kiss, and now it's happened again, with a song by Small Leaks Sink Ship called "Dear Dictator." and its' conclusion: "Boom, Tip, Crash." It's amazing! ^__^
Yay I found my iPod! My life is complete once more. :) Agh I have a test for Japanese tomorrow. Well sorry about the lack of updates today, I'll make up for it tomorrow. Adios.
Woo, three posts in one day, well I guess this makes up for not posting on Monday. Here is the latest album by We Are Scientists, "Brain Thrust Mastery." What does it mean exactly? I have no idea, I guess someone perfected the art of brain thrusting.... anyways it's a great album. Enjoy.
Black Kids is an Indie band with electronic tendencies. ;) They have a cool sound, and their first single with the extremely long name "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You" is pretty catchy. Enjoy.
Kiss Kiss is an experimental band that is truly amazing. One of the best bands I've ever heard, and I've listened to lots. Their mix of violin into their songs gives them a unique sound and they're definitely worth supporting. Here is two songs from their debut EP, "Kiss Kiss." Their album "Reality Vs. The Optimist" is definitely their best work. You can find it on iTunes.
The World Ends With You is a video game for the Nintendo DS developed by Square Enix, the company famous for developing the Final Fantasy series, and the Kingdom Hearts games. The music in this game was composed by Takeharu Ishimoto, who is famous for his work in other games, most recently in the new release of the Final Fantasy VII saga, Crisis Core. The World Ends With You is a completely original game definitely worth getting! The music is great and you definitely get a sense of being immersed in the world the game creates. Here's a song from the game, my personal favorite. Fighting to this song pumps you up. ;)
I discovered this band today, called Passenger. Apparently there's lots of bands called Passenger, so it makes them kind of hard to find. Anyways this song is great, so I thought I'd post the video here as the last post for the day.
Another Coldplay post, but hey new songs are being released and I want to keep you guys updated until the full album is released. Honestly, there's other songs that have been released, b-sides and whatnot, but I plan on only releasing the singles until the full album comes out, and then you'll get it all at once, less messy. Honestly, you're not missing out on much. However! This new single is great. :) Here's the commercial for the song. (Which is available on iTunes, go get it there!) ;)
Weezer's video for their new single "Pork and Beans" features a long list of internet personalities, including Chris Crocker, Numa Numa Guy, Chocolate rain, Peanut Butter Jelly time, and more. Definitely a must see.
Here is the new album by Mindless Self Indulgence, (an eclectic band that mixes rock, electronic, industrial, and hip-hop elements) titled "If." It's a great album, definitely worth buying. This cover of the album is the deluxe edition designed by Invader Zim creator: Jhonen Vasquez, which I like much better than the normal cover. Why they used that cover instead of the one Jhonen designed is beyond me. Enjoy.
Mute Math is a band that mixes many different music styles into and original sound hailing from New Orleans. Here is the music video from their song: "Typical."
Coldplay's fourth studio album is set to be released on June 17th, 2008. It is to be titled "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends." Here is the first released song from that album.
